at the eve of two-thousand-nine

"What are you going to do tonight on the new year eve?" I received that question like thousand times a day - from friends, colleagues and families. My answer will always remain the same " Nothing. I don't do celebration. I'll just try to get home early so I won't get caught in traffic".

For me, it's just a date that repeat itself after 365 days (or 365 and a quarter times the earth spins). Plus, crowds and louds is just not for me. I just always get home, do routine and that's it. That's what I do for every year - except for this year.

It was just a same old hangout night with my friends, which is held at One Utama, in which eventually will drags us to new year celebration. (Eddy called me as early as 2.00PM on 31st December 2008 to hang out. I was at work, so I asked for him to wait until 6).

I reached One Utama around 6.20PM (in which is really really early, and suprising because the traffic is clear). We hangout for couple of hours including of having dinner at the Paddington's House of Pancakes before starting to walk down to The Curve to join the other crowd awaiting for the firecrackers and the countdown.

People said a picture worths thousand of words. I don't want to say much. Just go to this link and see the pictures taken by Mohamad Safri, one of my hangout buddy that night. In short, that night, it is just not for me. But yeah, we do have a great times.

Happy new year Uncomfortable10, and happy new years to everyone.
