On 28th October 2008, I guess all those lucky breaks come back to me. Only this time, it's not wallet or handphone - but it's my car.
Around 5.30PM, in which is about 30 minutes away from office hours out, I received call from my boss to prepare for adhoc exercise tonight (not really tonight, it's 3am in the morning actually) on one of my production firewall. I was really in mood of gym that day - so I decided to go to gym anyway. My plan is to be at gym until about 11pm (my usual-end time for gym everyday), next have dinner and go straight to the site at subang (codenamed L28). Maybe finish up some work or take short nap if i'm too tired. Going back to home first to rest and get back to L28 later is not a convenient idea. So I went to gym with my usual buddy David Wong Yew Fatt, accompanied by my senior Loh Fook Yuan until around 10.30. We had our dinner and leave around 11. The minutes David found out that I will go straight to L28 and will wait there until 3, he asked me to instead stick around at his house (just nearby) and accompany him to setup his friends computer which needs to be done that night before he went to sleep. Lucky break number 1 - at least I don't have to stay at L28 waiting for another 4 hours to come - alone. So I stayed and chats and drinks with David until he finishes setting up his friend's PC and everything on 2. He went to sleep, and I drive my way to L28. I decided to make a stop at 7 eleven on SS2 to grab a coke. So I parked my car by the sidewalks, locked and leave. There are a few pedestrian there who looks "weirdly" at my car. So I noticed, and I turned around... Just to found out that my car is reversing itself accross the street, and it's reversing fast! I knew what happened, the handbrakes. So I quickly unlocked the door remotely and jumps in the 10kmph reversing car and managed to get my car stopped by pulling the handbrake. Lucky break number 2 - I usually don't give a damn of people around me. Luckly I do, today. Sigh So I quicky grabbed my coke and leave to L28. So I performed my tasks and my last lucky break for today is that I managed to get the job done before 6, plus I learned a few things (technical kind of things) from this exercise. Haha. Comments (0)

The name is Mohd Izuardi Ibrahim. He is a proud Malaysian who loved to spend his quality times with his beloved equipments and personal computer. He enjoys messing around with those cables and that hardwares, sometimes he is crazy enough to code complex scripts, and there are few times he plays around with those lazy system administrators over the internet.

If you were my friends, you might heard from me of those all lucky breaks that I had had before - from carelessly left my handphone or wallet (with few hundreds and credit cards in it) unattended at "kaki lima" restaurants, cybercafes, and even at gym - and yet I always get back everything in one piece.I mean, there will be always nice people who will found my things and keep it safely or return in back to me.
