I was glad for this move. Actually this movement is planned 3 months back - yes, that's the period of notice I have to give to XYBASE should if I decided to tender my resignation. Everything happens for a reason - incompatibility. If you are a headhunter you might say "as expected from a typical fresh graduate". Part of this statement is true, but it's not entirely accurate. I love programming, i love scripting, I know I'm good into that - but that's just not me. As early as 8 years old when I first grab my personal computer - it's always about hardware and systems. I happens to fall in love with codes only a few years back ( in which I would like to emphasize that I am quite-pretty-good at).
Back to U Mobile. I was really glad that the hiring manager promises me to get to the network engineering team, although I am not qualified for that position due to my less-than-a-year-experience level, but after about one and a half hour of interview, I was successfully trasferred from IT support (fresh grad department) towards network infrastructure team (a no-no department for a fresh graduates). Sadly, I have to reject another so-good-to-be-true offer from an SI that provides IT solutions for Petronas (a very popular company with high reputation , you should know it =) ) on my 3rd day in Umobile. I don't know, somehow I don't feel good to immediately tender my resignation, it was as if my heart told me - "this is the right place, don't leave just yet!" We'll see about that. I really hope to have a good long relationship with this company =) Comments (0)

The name is Mohd Izuardi Ibrahim. He is a proud Malaysian who loved to spend his quality times with his beloved equipments and personal computer. He enjoys messing around with those cables and that hardwares, sometimes he is crazy enough to code complex scripts, and there are few times he plays around with those lazy system administrators over the internet.

Things doesn't always happens the way I expected to be, always has... and now it's time for me to move on - 1st November 2007 marks the calendar where I joined a new 3G player in town - U Mobile Sdn Bhd, as a network security engineer supporting Umobile's IP infrastructure.
I practically can do everything. Although it's something new, somehow I knew I have the gist to figure out my way around, and so with coding. But leading my career as a software engineer is just so not me - I guess I'm the "hardware guy".
