Mat Melayu: Ya, silakan. |

It’s been a year since I posted an entry with similar title . This year, so many thing has changed. Here’s the road so far and up ahead:
Target 1: to earn a 5-figure salary by 30 years old - already earning half of target at the age of 25. good progress... but i just learned recently, salary is not everything, what are you working on is all that matters..
Target 2: to work on and do amazing things with my life - is employed by google, currently attached to a project that deals with sophisticated infrastructure in the world. Looking forward for more challenges! :) Target 3: acquires Pilot Private License (PPL) for single-engine airplane by 30 years old - No progress yet, but should be able to reach target. Money almost enough, and physical to. I'm not planning anything of making this as my career. This is more a like a luxury hobby of mine (Didn't you notice I love to do anything different than typical?) |

Does this quote sounds familiar to you? "I hereby do solemnly swear, that I will support and defend the Constitution of Malaysia against all enemies, foreign and domestic, so help me god" Yea, this is modified version of US oath of citizenship (it is, isn't it?). I find the original somehow, very... strong. So I modified it to fits my own hearing and make it more meaningful to me. Selamat Hari Kebangsaan! I am very proud to be Malaysian, and will do with all my wills to protect the peace and harmony we had had for the past 52 years! (please don't ask why I don't use our national language typing about national day. I just want those who don't read malay understand this, if there is any.. ;) ) Regards, Izuardi (a proud Malaysian) |

Finally, after a very long recruitment process (longest in my life I guess), I was officially offered an engineer position in Google Singapore, a network/server/hardware related position.
Congratulation Izuardi! You have made the most important hiring process for this region and officially win yourself the first hire from Malaysia title. |

Dearest of all peers and readers,
Readers... I doubt they are many readers left, considering of my response to maintain and update this blog, and daily webstat.. but I keep on getting "urge messages" from friends by other medium - orally, social networks, sms etc etc. I am busy - typical excuse from lazy blogger - but that's the thruth - Well not Barrack Obama's busy, but still I need to spent some of quality times away from my lappy and PC. Anyway, loads of thing happens since my last entry - but nothing that you missed if you're within my facebook networks(I treat my facebook like twitter actually). Here's the highlights (I'll to recall as much as I can): |

Finally - after four phone interview session with googlers across the world - I have the chance to meet (two of) them for final interview - on 23rd May 2009 at Boulevard Midvalley. One of the interviewer is the who previously interviewed me over the phone, and the other guy is the operation manager for asia pacific. I myself never expect me to get thru up to this level - hopefully this means something, because I bet they won't waste their time with 5 interviews if I am not worth of something - and I'll make damn sure I won't waste theirs' (and mine) too. |

9 January 2009 - Yeah, it is a date where 25 years ago I was born on this planet. A few of my close friends wants to celebrate this date with me. But I would like to talk about the 09-01-09 night with my usual gang uncomfortable10.
At first we can't decide where to go - 1 Utama? SS2 Murni? Williams? Yeah, that is us - bad decision maker everytime we wants to eat. But finally we managed to set a rendevous place - The Curve Damansara. But yet the same problem isn't solved - where to eat and hangout? |

I was just remember to write about this - last 31st December 2008 is the last date for my (ex) colleague, and also a good teacher - Woon Choo Kien to be in UMobile. He is among my best good teachers that never fails to assist and show me the rope from since the first day I joined the company as network engineer. He is among the best "sifu" I had that never fails to assist me and the team no matter how "tedious" the job may seemed (as in my point of view) - hardworking, never complaint and always get things done on time. And he is ... young - young but very knowledgable. So I decided to throw him a farewell party as token of appreciation. |

"What are you going to do tonight on the new year eve?" I received that question like thousand times a day - from friends, colleagues and families. My answer will always remain the same " Nothing. I don't do celebration. I'll just try to get home early so I won't get caught in traffic".
For me, it's just a date that repeat itself after 365 days (or 365 and a quarter times the earth spins). Plus, crowds and louds is just not for me. I just always get home, do routine and that's it. That's what I do for every year - except for this year. |

**Updated with more photos 26 November 2008 (Wednesday) - It was team building day for 2nd group - my group. That means its time for me to forget the office and (supposed to) enjoy the day at the eagle ranch, Port Dickson. Yeah, I know, that is very far away (from KL) considering that we are going to have this activity for just one day. But what I don't know is that today is the day where I got drifted to (almost) another island for the first time of my life. |

Last friday is the last day Jo would be in Umobile as a staff. He's moving (perhaps) towards a better opportunity. Good luck dude.
Looking back after a year and a half me and my uncomfortable10 members graduated from UPM at May 2007, our achievement should be considered "acceptably impressive". I mean, the job we secured, and the portfolios we hold (plus the salary in which many wouldn't believe we fresh graduate manage to obtained. One of us already reached five figures on the playslip. I would not want to talk more about this) is far beyond what most typical graduate obtained during their first year in industry Here's the list of what we have been so far.... at the dawn of 2008. |
